Arun brings a powerful dual perspective to modern construction and energy consulting with over 9 years of hands-on project delivery experience across major international civil, water, and building developments worth up to €460M, combined with specialized technical mastery in sustainable energy engineering.
To drive the transition toward greener building solutions, Arun complemented his structural expertise with a Level 9 MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering from South East Technological University (SETU, Waterford), graduating with First Class Honours (1.1). His academic and practical research focuses on thermal comfort, low-energy building design and dynamic glazing performance.

Currently working as an Energy Consultant and Retrofit Project Engineer with Cork Energy Consultancy, Arun applies this combined skill set to help clients, developers, and asset owners navigate complex energy compliance and decarbonisation pathways.
Since starting with Cork Energy Consultants in early 2026; in his current role, Arun’s work centers on:
- Regulatory & Part L Compliance: Guiding multi-unit developments and commercial properties through TGD Part L, NZEB compliance, and energy audits.
- Multi-Unit BER Certification: Managing end-to-end BER workflows for residential and commercial projects to ensure full Irish regulatory compliance.
- Post-Works Assessments & Renewables: Delivering post-works BER services for heat pump and solar PV installations, verifying that real-world performance meets design intent.
- Home & Technical Energy Assessments: Assessing domestic properties to chart comprehensive, tailored retrofit pathways.
- Energy Performance & Dynamic Modelling: Modelling thermal performance, evaluating efficiency strategies, and verifying BER standards using IES VE, DesignBuilder, and DEAP 4.
