Louis Heally

Louis recently joined Cork Energy Consultancy following a year of experience in the commercial energy auditing sector. During that time, he worked on preparing energy audit reports under the the SEAI Support Scheme for Energy Audits, helping businesses leverage SEAI and LEO funding for energy upgrade projects.

Prior to this, Louis completed a BEng (Honours) in Energy Engineering at University College Cork. His studies covered a broad range of topics, including Solar PV, Environmental Engineering, Power Electronics and AC Motors, Applied Thermodynamics, Energy and Transportation, Energy and Systems Modelling, Wind and Ocean Energy, HVAC Systems, and Energy in Buildings. She also gained experience using technical tools such as IES and AutoCAD.

Since joining Cork Energy Consultancy, Louis has begun working on a range of energy audits for SMEs. He has also taken on a larger-scale project involving the rollout of Display Energy Certificates (DEC) for Cork County Council, covering over 41 sites. Louis has also worked on several commercial BER certifications and deep retrofit project roadmaps as an EED (energy efficiency design)consultant. He has become proficient in the use of DEAP/NEAP and is developing his skills in the use of advanced modelling software such as IES (Integrated Energy Simulation) software.
