About the service
What is it:
Irish building regulations require all new homes to meet strict energy efficiency standards, known as Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) requirements.
Part L is the section of those regulations that deals specifically with energy, and every new home or major renovation needs to demonstrate it complies before it can be signed off.
Who Needs it:
You'll need Part L compliance if you are:
- Building a new home
- Carrying out a major renovation affecting more than 25% of your building's envelope
- Adding a significant extension
- Replacing key building elements like windows, roofs or insulation
How it works:
- We model your building in DEAP, the government-approved compliance software
- We assess your insulation, heating, ventilation, airtightness and renewable energy contribution
- We check your design meets the required energy and carbon performance targets
- We produce the compliance report needed for your building sign-off
What you get
- A Part L compliance report demonstrating your home meets building regulations
- Guidance on the most cost-effective route to compliance during the design stage
- Final BER certificate for your new or upgraded home

Our service works look like this

Home Energy Rating (BER)
A BER cert is essentially an energy label for your home, rating it from A to G so you know exactly how efficient it is and what it's costing you to run.

Deep Retrofit Design
From your pre-works assessment right through to your final cert, we take care of the technical side of your One Stop Shop retrofit.

Commercial Energy Rating (BER)
If you're selling, leasing or constructing a commercial building, we carry out the energy assessment and produce the BER cert you're legally required to have.

Building Regulations Compliance (Part L)
We guide developers, architects and building owners through the energy efficiency requirements for new commercial builds and major renovations, making sure everything is compliant before sign-off.

Energy Certificates for Public Buildings (DEC)
If you manage a public building like a library, leisure centre or council office, we produce the Display Energy Certificate you're legally required to show on your premises every year.

Advanced Building Modelling (IES)
Using specialist simulation software approved by SEAI, we build a detailed digital model of your building to accurately calculate energy performance, carbon emissions and compliance.
